2015-16 PTA Board has been nominated and elected

Our last PTA association meeting for the 14-15 school year, was held on Wednesday, March 25th in the auditorium. At this meeting our By Laws were approved. We also elected the nominated 2015-2016 school year board.

Welcome to all of the new board members. We think you will find that our little school is quite the gem and is only made better when more parents get involved.

The PTA is just one of many ways to get involved and we appreciate the time you’ve committed to making Bay Park Elementary Top Notch.

Meet the Newly Elected and Appointed Board Members:

Liane Morton and Andree Web – 1st VPs of Ways & Means (Fundraising)
Jessica Cain – Financial Secretary
Bill Otondo – Newly Elected Treasurer
Lilyn Fitzmaurice – Garden Chair
Enna Roggin and Shari Osuch – Stingray Store
Amy Comali and Sarah Sheehy – Room Parent Liaison
Laura Haberman – Jr. Achievement/Biztown Chair
Shawn Kuffner, Marivic Watson and Elizabeth Bagnas – 5th Grade Committee Chairs
Holly Gibbard – Jog-a-thon Committee Chairs
Jennifer Mora – Corresponding Secretary

There are many returning Board Members too. As we welcome the new Board Members in our May Board Meeting, an updated Board Member list will be generated. For now the 14-15 Board Members will complete the school year and their duties.

2015-2016 PTA Board Nominations and Elections

Bay Park Elementary is a wonderful community because of the parental support and the volunteer contributions of people just like you.  If you’d like to be an integral part of programs and activities the PTA and Foundation put on for students, now is the time to step up and make a difference!

Several elected PTA Executive Board positions are open for the 2015/16 school year.

  • Ways and Means (Fundraising) 1st Vice President
  • Recording Secretary
  • Financial Secretary
  • Corresponding Secretary (Splash, Facebook, Website)

 The following positions are non-elected/appointed positions that are available:

  • Arts Chair(s) (tile painting, art camps, Meet the Masters, etc)
  • Room Parent Coordinator(s)
  • Spirit Wear Coordinator(s)
  • Garden/Recycling Chair(s)
  • Safety Committee Chair(s)

These are committee positions which need to be filled for these events to happen next year:

  • Carnival Committee (minimum of 4 members)
  • Aloha Gala Committee (minimum of 4 members)
  • Jog-a-thon Committee (minimum of 4 members)
  • 4th Grade Committee (minimum of 4 members)
  • 5th Grade Committee (minimum of 5 members)
