Life is full of challenges, no one is exempt from them. Learn scientifically based skills that will allow participants to successfully deal with life’s challenges. Additionally, learn how to bring these skills into your home. For one hour, one day a week for five consecutive weeks participants will learn the tools that will enable them to be more resilient and to foster in their children greater resilience. Topics covered:

1. Introduction to Resilience and Hunting for the Good Stuff
2. ABCs of Resilience (How our thoughts make us resilient) 3. Cognitive Distortions and Thinking Flexibly
4. Perspective Taking
5. Optimistic Thinking
